Metaltex is in the process of having a 66KW Rooftop Solar panel system installed on our new Factory. The installation will not only reduce our carbon footprint but will significantly reduce our operations electricity consumption. Our dedication towards adopting Industry 4.0 model includes using renewable energy and digital technology working together in synergy for higher efficiency of manufacturing. This brings Metaltex in the family of today’s Smart Factory movement and our capabilities at the very pinnacle of contemporary Green Energy Manufacturing solutions.

The chosen company that is conducting a feasibility study and whom will also be actioning the install is Energy-Tec. They are Western Australia’s leading sub-meter reading and billing specialists, with over 25 years’ experience as trusted advisors.

New Powdercoat Line

Metaltex recently engaged with Garnic Technologies to custom design and manufacture a batch powdercoat line to suit the scope of work in which we produce.
Installation is now well under way with an estimated completion and commissioning date of Mid-June 2017. This system further increase Metaltex’s quality of supply whilst reducing production lead times.

2016 Victorian Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards

Earlier this year Metaltex was nominated for the 2016 Manufacturing Hall of Fame Awards.

We are extremely excited that judging of the awards is now complete and Metaltex has now made the finals for ‘Medium manufacturing business of the Year’.

The awards will be announced at a black tie gala dinner and awards ceremony to be hosted by the Minister for Industry, the Hon. Lily D’Ambrosio MP on Thursday, June 9 2016 at the Palladium at Crown Melbourne.

New Metaltex Production Facility

Metaltex’s New purpose built manufacturing facility is currently being constructed on an 8000m2 site in Dandenong South, with a completion timeframe of around mid-year 2016. This new facility will allow for additional product line expansion as well making necessary room for newly purchased plant equipment to further increase our production capabilities and capacity.
