metaltex self service kiosks metal enclosures

Custom metal housings built to your specifications

Metaltex manufactures custom sheet metal products for OEMs and businesses throughout Australia. As a self-serve kiosk manufacturer, we can take customer drawings and specifications and produce metal housings, panels and fabricated components for self-serve kiosk applications. We’re based in Dandenong South, Melbourne, and our facility incorporates CAD/CAM design, CNC production, welding and finishing to meet the requirements of each project.

We work in aluminium, stainless steel and mild steel to produce components to the required dimensions, hardware layout and finish. We can look at your drawings and go through the manufacturing requirements, whether you require a prototype or components for repeat production.

What we manufacture for self-service kiosks

Self-service kiosks require a metal casing to house the chosen equipment and to provide access for installation and maintenance. Screen openings, mounting points, cable routes and access panels must all be as per the design.

Metaltex can manufacture custom metal components for kiosk projects, including:

  • Sheet metal kiosk housings and cabinets
  • Touchscreen mounting panels and front bezels
  • Internal brackets and equipment mounting plates
  • Access doors, removable covers and service panels
  • Folded metal frames and supporting structures
  • Custom-fabricated components made to supplied drawings
  • Stainless steel panels and finished metal housings

Our custom kiosk fabrication can be based on CAD files, production drawings or as per agreed specification. Dimensions, cut-outs, folds and fixings are all prepared to match the design.

Everything under one roof

Our Dandenong South site is where the key manufacturing processes come together (laser cutting, CNC folding, robotic and manual welding and assembly). The CAD/CAM systems take the customer’s design and turn it into a component that can be manufactured, and the CNC’s are used to control the cut and form dimensions.

For a self-service kiosk enclosure, accurate cutouts and mounting points are essential. The housing has to be designed to take the screen, the payment terminal, the scanner or whatever other equipment the customer has specified. The doors and removable panels will of course need to provide access for servicing.

Built to a standard you can rely on

Metaltex is ISO 9001:2015 certified. Our CAD/CAM systems and our CNC manufacturing equipment all help us to maintain control over component dimensions and production consistency.

As a stainless steel kiosk manufacturer, Metaltex produces stainless steel components to customer specifications. We can also talk you through the appropriate finishes for the environment in which the kiosk will be used.

Metaltex, as an established Australian manufacturer, works with the customer to understand the component requirements prior to production commencing. Providing full drawings and clear finish requirements is essential in establishing a production reference. If you’re looking at a project which requires a stainless steel finish, then we’d be more than happy to discuss your requirements for stainless steel polishing in Melbourne.
